A neccessary evil I'd say.
2. Who is the primary food shopper in your household?
Generally all five of us go together. ANd sometimes that is quite an adventure.3. Do you have a beloved store like TJ's which is unique to your location or family?
We have one grocery store in town.4. How about a farmer's market, or CSA share, as we move into summer? Or do you grow your own fruits/veggies/herbs?
We grow some root crops and lettuce, just planted them today.5. What's the favorite thing you buy at the grocery store?
No real favourite, but it is worth noting that we often go to buy milk "and a couple of other things". A full cart and $100 later....
I would love to follow the five of you around the store just to see what ends up in the cart. Does anyone ever sneak in forbidden sugar-laden cereal while you're not looking? If I were any of the girls, I know I would at least give it a try... :)
ReplyDeleteWait, maybe you just shouldn't take ME shopping!
I remember wandering through the grocery store once with my middle child Ms. H ... she was in the "can I get" mode, and I was repeating the refrain - "no no no no" ... then she picked up brocolli ... "Can I get this?" my mouth said "no" as a little voice in the deep dark recesses of my brain SCREECHED - "it's brocolli you fool !!!!!"
ReplyDeleteMy little voice overrode my spoken voice and Ms H went home happy with her brocolli which she ate with nary a complaint ...
I miss shopping with little people ... *sigh*
